We are hugely excited about our forthcoming "Beer and Curry Feast" on Friday, 27 August. We are collaborating with our friends at Ireland's newest micro-brewery Dungarvan Brewing Company and with Arun Kapil of Green Saffron, importer of the finest quality Indian spices.
Chop House Chef Eddie Baguio and Arun have created a delicious authentic curry feast using Green Saffron's Indian spices as well as local produce such as Michael McGrath's beef and mutton, Ballyvolane House saddleback pork, and potatoes and vegetables from Ballyvolane's walled garden. Classic Indian curries such as Chana Masala, Dahl Makhani, Murgh Tandoori, Aloo Gobhi, Korma, Cardamom ice cream, Garam Masala Cookies are some of the dishes that will be served on the night.
The Dungarvan Brewing Company's Head Brewer Cormac O'Dwyer will showcase each of his craft beers and these will perfectly compliment the curries.
Dungarvan Brewing Company is Ireland's latest micro-brewery, producing a range of bottle-conditioned craft beers. All the beers are traditionally brewed and bottled on-site in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford. The core range consists of three beers - Black Rock Irish Stout, Copper Coast Red Ale and Helvick Gold Blonde Ale - plus a selection of seasonal and festival beers.
